Youre My One and Only

Aired in January 2009 during the Lunar Year, Taiwan mini-series You're My One and Only (a.k.a. Only You and Ni Shi Wo De Wei Yi) is a seven-episode youth drama starring 2008 Taipei Film Festival Best Newcomer winner Wang Bo Chieh from Winds of September and up-and-coming actress Fion Fu. You're My One and Only was aired to high viewership ratings and online buzz on PTS, the station behind acclaimed idol dramas like Crystal Boys, Wayward Kenting, and Starlit. Wang Bo Chieh and Fion Fu, who previously starred in the short film Ms. Cupid together, portray high school students trying find their way amid hesitant romance and adolescent angst. The series is beautifully backdropped by the natural scenery and landscape of Yuli, a rural seaside town in eastern Taiwan.

Qi Gang (Wang Bo Chieh) is a typical high school student who likes to play basketball and hang out with his buddies and girlfriend. In the summer before his second year of high school, his parents suddenly run off to China to escape debt, leaving behind only a note and a train ticket to Yuli in Hualien county. And just like that, Qi Gang is forced to leave Taipei and move in with his aboriginal grandmother. Used to life in the big city, Qi Gang can't stand living in a rundown house in the country. But as time passes, his anger slowly subsides, and he becomes increasingly fond of his new home - and his feisty classmate Xiao Zheng (Fion Fu).
