C'est La Vie Mon Cheri Endless Love

This show rebirth the famous Hong Kong movie of the same name by Anita Yuen and Lau Ching Wan into a drama. It is 29 episodes long(quite weird). It talks about a young girl called Mun(Fiona) who is brought up in a small street in Hong Kong by her mother who sings for a living on the street. She grew up to be a singer of oldies' songs that draw hearts of the neighbourhood around. She appears in the drama to be a very happy, jolly and optimistic girl who sees things very simple and is contented with her life.
She then meets a musician, Kit(Chen Kun) who is in his low points of life. They hung out together, while Mun continues to pour out her happiness to him and slowly they fell in love with each other after a series of incidents. Just as they were planning to get married, Mun is diagnosed with cancer that has grown again since it miraculously gone since she was 5 years old. The show ends with her dying which is something very sad.
As much as I think that the show is a little slow in motion, it brings about a touching and sad story. Despite Fiona not being a superb actress, I have to give her credit for looking very real when she was sick and her happiness just make you feel very happy. The show is really sad especially when it reaches the last 4 episodes where she is so sick and about to die. Even I cried in all 4 last episodes. I just couldn't control myself.
I was very touched by the love given to her by Kit as well as her mother. The moment you see her feel sick, you just feel like you can break down anytime. I recommend this show to those who are emotional and sentimental like me.
